Description
The handheld CAREvent® CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) System provides superior CPAP delivery in a simple, compact, portable device that stores easily into your existing airway management or resuscitation kits. The design of the CAREvent® CPAP's pneumatic circuitry minimizes gas consumption conserving oxygen and increasing cylinder duration (55 min @ 7.5 cm H2O), unlike other disposable constant flow devices that average 20 minutes. CPAP is an effective method of treating respiratory distress from CHF, Asthma, COPD and pneumonia with incubation. CPAP improves the patient's breathing by decreasing pre-load and after-load of the heart, improving lung compliance and decreasing the work of breathing. The O-Two CAREvent® CPAP is a cost effective alternative to invasive ventilation and possible intensive care admissions. Comes with 6' supply hose, single-use patient circuit with airway pressure gauge, medium face mask and head harness.
